I once heard it said:

“Music is life, that’s why our hearts have beats.”

 

That’s something I truly believe in. There’s not a day that goes by without music for me. Music has the power to change or set the mood, the ability to express feelings you may not even understand, and the gift of bringing joy to just one or a whole crowd.

Music has always been a part of my life: it has been my inspiration, my joy, and my passion, and it is this passion and joy that I always try to share when I DJ at any function. 

By reading the crowd I can see what style of music will work and I run with it. I don’t believe in set playlists as I have learned no one playlist works for all, and that’s why I love mixing it up each night and playing to and for the people.

People love music they know: songs they can sing along to at the top of their lungs and get down and dance to. This is why I play a wide range of music from the 80s, ’90s, through to today, from Eddy Grant's "Gimme Hope Joanna" and "Impi" by Johnny Clegg to The Weeknd's "Blinding Lights" and "Coming Along" by Sunset Sweatshop.

I always find a way to combine favorites together to keep the dance floor packed and boogying all night!
